Ah, December – the busiest time of the year. Between the Christmas shopping, present wrapping, rush project deadlines, and holiday travels I didn’t have much time to focus on my burning. As you can see above, that is all I was able to enjoy throughout this final month of the year. Nevertheless, let’s dive in to my thoughts.

I am SO confused by this fragrance. In this form it smelled like a bakery lavender combination. I didn’t mind it at all but wasn’t what I wanted at the time and didn’t match the scent description at all.

In 2018 I burned 46 Candles & 39 Wax Melts!

As we wrap up this year it’s sad to see that my melting has reduced 50% since 2016 yet my collection has hardly dwindled. With that being said, I think it’s time to take a break from this blog as its taken the enjoyment out of fragrances for me and made it into more of a chore. Fragrance Empties | November 2018

As I hoped, I was able to (sort of) revive my melting game in November! Between traveling for the holiday, transitioning to full-time freelance, and STILL not having my candles accessible in our new space, I’d say I’m pretty happy with what I did manage to burn through.

Happy Halloween! The end of the month really snuck up on me (yet again) in October which means it’s time to share my home fragrance empties! We still have yet to unpack the majority of our house due to work craziness which hasn’t exactly encouraged me to burn or melt much of my collection. Here is what we did enjoy this October!

Fragrance Empties | September 2018

Happy Fall, fellow melters! We finally moved into our new place at the beginning of September…and proceeded to live out of boxes all month because of our crazy work schedules. Due to this, I haven’t even unpacked any of my wax melters yet and my candles are still hidden away in crates. Luckily, I was able to dig a few things out to enjoy since this is typically my favorite burning month of the entire year!

I’m pretty bummed that I didn’t get to melt a single wax melt in September, especially since the majority of my collection are scents I would’ve enjoyed this past month. (Sometimes being a seasonal burner is tough, lol.) The exciting thing I discovered while burning the two candles was that fragrances really travel and linger in our new home! We were living in a rather large space for the past year and a half which I think negatively effected my burning habits. Hopefully we can get settled in soon and start enjoying my stash again!

Can this year just slow down please? July came and went in the blink of an eye and I hardly got to melt a majority of my favorite fragrances. Don’t get me wrong, I’m ecstatic that Fall is right around the corner, but I just haven’t been melting as much as I’d like to lately because of my busy schedule. Hopefully I’ll have a bit more burning time during my favorite upcoming melting season! Let’s take a look at July’s empties before we get any farther ahead of ourselves.

My husband unfortunately got into an accident (he’s okay) and making sure he healed properly became first priority. Melting was just not on my radar and due to that this blog has become somewhat neglected too. April craziness aside, here is what I did manage to get through this month.

Burn List | March 2018

Don’t let this variety of pink packaging and floral scents fool you, we are indeed looking at my March burn list and not going back in time. For some reason, I prefer the sweet floral fragrances when it get’s closer to Spring. It just so happens that all the packaging blends together beautifully and will fit right in with my Easter décor! Without further ado, here is what I play on burning throughout the next month.

CANDLES

• Champagne Toast – “Glittering champagne, wild berries, tangerine zest”
• Lavender Macaron – “Celebrate the city of love with a truly French treat that combines the scent of lavender blossoms with a patisserie cookie”
• Lavender Marshmallow – “The merging of two unexpected flavors, Lavender and Marshmallow, make this mouthwatering blend a special treat”
• Pink Petal Tea Cake – “Rose Petals, Fluffy Cake and Orange Essential Oil”
• Raspberry Peach Macaron – “The ultimate French cookie is celebrated in a unique blend of ripe raspberries, juicy peach and almond cream”

• Pink Velvet – “This sweet and fun fragrance mingles sugared lemon, apple and pineapple into a sweet heart of tropical punch and red currant. Sugar cane and vanilla bean in the base deliver a captivating finish.”

If the past month was any indication, I don’t think I’ll have any trouble getting through this entire burn list. I can’t believe I only have two wax melts in my entire collection that fit this sweet floral theme – expect to see multiples in my empties!

Fragrance Empties | January 2018

January certainly was an interesting start to the year; when I wasn’t sick I was under an enormous amount of stress at work. Coming home every day and lighting up a cozy candle was one of the only things that kept me sane this month. I definitely was able to melt much more than I had in the last few months of 2017, which is great! Finally a version of Winter that actually performed! This was highly fragranced but didn’t linger as long as I would’ve liked.

This month I burned 6 Candles & 7 Wax Melts!

As you can see, I wasn’t just busy melting this month but also updating my empties format. I’m really hoping you like the new easy-to-read review format! The fragrances that were melted in January were certainly great overall, but my favorite hands down was Around the Campfire. I’m certainly done with these cozier scents and moving on to something much sweeter!
